In a night that will likely go down in the history books for its family connections and high-energy performances, the festival crowned its new monarchs across the Children, Youth, and Adult categories on Saturday, January 16.

Small Crowd, Massive Energy

While organizers noted that attendance was slightly lower than previous years, the atmosphere inside the Village told a different story. The energy was described as nothing short of phenomenal. Veteran singer Rocco Franken fought off stiff competition in the Adult category to claim the prestigious title of Tumba King 2026. Moments earlier, the crowd had witnessed the rise of the next generation, as Melody Franken dazzled the judges to win the Youth Tumba Queen title.

The “Father and Daughter” victory added an emotional layer to the festivities, creating a “Royal Trio” (alongside the Children’s King) that will lead Aruba’s parades this year.

The night also belonged to the island’s youngest stars. In the Children’s category, Jaymerson Kelly delivered a commanding performance to secure the title of Children’s Tumba King, proving that the future of Aruba’s musical heritage is in safe hands.
