Clark and Boston Spark Indiana Fever’s Overtime Victory Over Atlanta Dream

In a gripping overtime clash, Caitlin Clark and Aliyah Boston led the Indiana Fever to a 104-100 comeback win against the Atlanta Dream on Sunday, showcasing their exceptional skills as the Fever gears up for the playoffs.

The game started with the Dream taking control, building a significant 16-point lead. However, Clark and Boston refused to let the game slip away. Clark’s playmaking and Boston’s scoring prowess turned the tide. With just 18.1 seconds left in the fourth quarter, Boston converted a crucial layup off an assist from Clark, leveling the score at 90 and sending the game into overtime.

In the extra period, Clark and Boston continued their impressive performances. Each player contributed six points, playing a key role in securing the victory. Boston finished the game with 30 points, 13 rebounds, and five assists, demonstrating her all-around game. Clark added 26 points, 12 assists, and five rebounds, including sinking four three-pointers. Clark’s performance also tied her with Sabrina Ionescu for the most 25-point, 10-assist games in WNBA history, according to Stat Muse.

The win boosts the Fever’s record to 20-17 for the season, keeping them firmly in the playoff hunt. As the regular season nears its end, this victory could prove pivotal for Indiana’s positioning in the postseason. 

On the other side, the Dream had four starters scoring in double figures. Rhyne Howard led with a game-high 36 points, while Jordin Canada and Tina Charles each scored 17 points. Allisha Gray added 15 points, but despite their efforts, the Dream could not hold off the Fever’s determined comeback.
