Wind Creek Aruba celebrated the sixth edition of Long Table Aruba

by | Jun 10, 2024

A magical night culminating in a $65,000 donation to our community

Long Table Aruba, a charitable culinary event presented by Wind Creek Aruba, once again surpassed all expectations by celebrating its sixth edition last Sunday. The unique dinner, valued at $50,000 for Aruba, featured an all-white dinner for 1,000 people.

Since 2017, Long Table Aruba has raised over $335,000 for local organizations and is an extremely important event for Wind Creek in Aruba. “We understand the importance of connecting with the community and we want to support local organizations in a way that truly benefits the community of Aruba,” stated Mr. Paul Gielen, General Manager of Wind Creek Aruba.

This year, Wind Creek Aruba changed the process and selected 10 active community organizations and invited them to participate. Each of these organizations had the task of creating an impressive video, with the opportunity to win financial support. This year’s selection emphasized helping our elderly and supporting our youth facing challenging circumstances. With the focus on renewing the well-being in our community, Wind Creek Aruba is committed to making a change and impact in the lives of those in need. The public could vote for one of these videos online.

The winners of the Long Table Aruba 2024 video contest:

  • Club Kibrahacha $15,000
  • Stichting Hunto Inloophuis $10,000
  • Fundashon Hospice Atardi $10,000
  • Sonrisa $10,000
  • Fundashon Contra Violencia Relacional – FCVR $10,000

Additionally, Wind Creek Aruba awarded the other 5 participating organizations a sum of $2,000 each:

  • ADRA Teen Mother Project $2,000
  • Ambiente Nobo $2,000
  • Give Me A Break $2,000
  • Bump Aruba $2,000
  • Fundacion Biba Bou Guia $2,000

Mr. Gielen explained that they are fortunate to have a dedicated team that comes together to produce an exceptional event that honors our local community in Aruba. They hope to have left a positive impact on everyone who attended the event as well as on all their sponsors who have always been open to contributing to their event for six years now. A heartfelt thank you!

A BIG THANK YOU: Wind Creek Aruba received cooperation to close the road from 12 noon to set up the long table covering part of L.G. Smith Boulevard. Around 11 PM, the road was reopened to the public. The musical part was in the hands of Duro Entertainment and DJ Lee Croes.

The evening was hosted by Erin Croes of Magic FM. An event like ‘Long Table’ Aruba would not have been possible without sponsors willing once again to contribute to this beautiful project. Wind Creek Hospitality together with Renaissance Wind Creek Aruba Resort thanks its staff and personnel, all participating organizations in the video competition, and the main sponsors Caribbean Overseas, Tropical Bottling Company, Boma Aruba, Elite Productions, Arion Wine Company, Express Events & Party Rentals & Bix Brandimports NV, as well as Andmar Manpower, Al Jazar, Aruba Laundry, Aruba Trading Co, ASD, ARTN Photography, Bright Bakery, Bee Haven, Bite!
