Royal Aruba Aloe Initiates Voluntary Recall for Certain Products

by | Apr 7, 2024

In response to recent regulatory changes and in an effort to uphold product quality and safety standards, Royal Aruba Aloe has announced a voluntary recall of specific products within the American market. The recall aims to remove a particular element from their production line, ensuring compliance with updated regulations and maintaining consumer trust.

Royal Aruba Aloe, a distinguished Aruban company renowned for its premium skincare products, has consistently adhered to stringent standards across global markets. Despite fulfilling regulatory requirements since the US law amendments in 2021, the company has proactively decided to publicly announce this voluntary recall to affirm its commitment to transparency and consumer welfare.

The recall pertains to two specific products distributed by Royal Aruba Aloe worldwide. Hand Sanitizers and Alcohol Gel, which have been staples in the company’s offerings, are meticulously produced with specialized alcohol formulations deemed unsuitable for consumption due to the addition of limited quantities of other chemicals.

A pivotal regulatory shift occurred three years ago when the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) prohibited the use of Methyl Alcohol in consumer products. Like many manufacturers, Royal Aruba Aloe swiftly adjusted its formulations to eliminate Methyl Alcohol, ensuring compliance with the updated regulations.

While the company has consistently complied with evolving regulations, the voluntary recall was prompted by the sale of certain Hand Sanitizers through Royal Aruba Aloe’s US website. In response to FDA’s request, the company initiated a recall for all Hand Sanitizers sold between 2021 and 2023, underscoring its commitment to consumer safety and regulatory compliance.

Royal Aruba Aloe emphasizes that the recall exclusively affects products sold in the US market. Products available in Aruba and other regions are unaffected by the recall. Furthermore, all Hand Sanitizers and Alcohol Gels sold in Aruban stores do not contain Methyl Alcohol, assuring consumers of their safety and quality.

For consumers with inquiries or concerns regarding the recall, Royal Aruba Aloe encourages contacting them via email at [email protected]. The company remains dedicated to maintaining the highest standards of product quality, safety, and consumer satisfaction across all markets it serves.
