Football Copa Honor Oro Estrella decided to enter the final four

by | Mar 21, 2024

The Orange team from Santa Cruz is surprising everyone and hanging tough in the fourth spot, which is the last ticket to advance to the next round. Estrella has accumulated 6 points from 2 victories and 3 defeats. A crucial 1-0 victory over RCA has given NaraƱado great hope of advancing to the next round. Estrella has scored 7 goals and conceded 10. It’s worth mentioning that 8 of these 10 goals came from two 4-1 defeats, one against Nacional and the other against Dakota.

For the other 3 games, their defense has been fairly stable. The offense is functioning well; Luis Manuel Torres leads the goal-scoring table with 5 goals, and the NaraƱado team will need to maintain his goal-scoring production. Estrella’s main reference, Trevor Faro, has only scored one goal in the first round of the Copa Ora, and if he can find his goal-scoring touch again, Estrella will become a very dangerous team. Other teams may say they have nothing to play for, but somehow they’re picking up points.

They may not have the glamour of Dakota or the elegance of Britannia, but they have a team of “workhorses.” A humble team. There are no superstars. Here, everyone runs, everyone marks, everyone fights. Combined with their timely goals, Estrella is where it’s at. Certainly, the arrival of defender Elizabeth has brought stability back to the center of defense. And if they can find a bit more consistency against bigger teams, NaraƱado might just make it into the final four.

The Papilon team hasn’t celebrated a title since 2006, and they’re making a hard push to keep alive the hope that a title is possible this championship. But Estrella will need the help of their fans to cross this bridge. Known for having one of the largest fan bases in our local football, it’s time to activate them to fill the stadium. Estrella has 6 points and will need to find a way to get 8 points in the next round. Their most crucial game will be against the tricolor team from Solito, a team they defeated in the first round and will surely face a crucial battle in this second round.

Estrella is standing on thin ice, but they still need to put a foot in and to achieve this, they’ll need to have a good start to the second round. With only a 3-point lead over the usual tricolor team, anything can happen. There are still plenty of games to go, and the ball is in play, but if Estrella does its thing, they could knock out one of the big favorites.
