by | Feb 26, 2024

San Nicolas, Aruba – The quaint town of San Nicolas is poised for a significant economic upswing with the imminent opening of Hotel Secrets, marking a pivotal moment in its development trajectory. Prime Minister Evelyn Wever-Croes, in a recent meeting with hotel developers, announced that the first phase of the project is on track for completion by the end of 2024.

Scheduled to open its doors by the close of the year, Hotel Secrets promises to be a game-changer for San Nicolas, heralding its first major hotel establishment. With 300 rooms slated to become available initially, followed by additional phases in 2026 and 2028, the project is expected to bring a surge of visitors and employment opportunities to the area.

“We are committed to revitalizing San Nicolas, and the opening of Hotel Secrets is a significant step towards that goal,” remarked Prime Minister Evelyn Wever-Croes. “This marks a new era for the town, promising not only economic growth but also a renewed vibrancy for its residents.”

The development of San Nicolas has been a focal point for the Wever-Croes II Cabinet, with efforts concentrated on stimulating job creation and fostering sustainable economic expansion. Beyond the hotel project, the government has been investing substantially in various infrastructure improvements, including enhancements to popular attractions such as Baby Beach and Rodgers Beach.

Additionally, the upcoming World War II Memorial in Seroe Colorado is expected to draw a considerable influx of tourists to San Nicolas, complementing the town’s rich historical and cultural offerings. Works on Mainstreet San Nicolas are slated to commence in the first quarter of 2024, further enhancing the town’s appeal as a bustling commercial hub.

Collaboration with the San Nicolas Business Association has been instrumental in advancing these initiatives, with joint efforts aimed at accelerating progress on multiple fronts. “We see immense potential for growth and development in San Nicolas, and we are committed to realizing these opportunities,” affirmed the Prime Minister.

As anticipation builds for the opening of Hotel Secrets and the realization of other development projects, San Nicolas stands on the brink of a transformative period, poised to emerge as a vibrant economic and cultural hub within Aruba.
