by | Feb 29, 2024

Bradenton, Florida – February 27, 2024 – The Aruba U20 national team secured a dominant 4-0 victory over Saint Martin in their CONCACAF U20 World Cup qualifier match on Tuesday.

Connor van Kilsdonk continued his impressive form for Aruba, netting his first goal of the tournament in the 10th minute. The young forward displayed his clinical finishing instincts once again, putting Aruba ahead early.

The Aruban team maintained control throughout the first half, showcasing impressive ball movement and applying constant pressure on their opponents. Their efforts yielded another goal in the 30th minute, courtesy of Kryudenhof, who extended their lead to 2-0.

While Saint Martin displayed more fight in the second half, they struggled to penetrate Aruba’s organized defense. Aruba, however, managed to capitalize on their composed passing and created several opportunities.

Van Kilsdonk proved unstoppable, adding another goal to his name in the final 15 minutes. Jairo Lacle further solidified the win by scoring Aruba’s fourth goal shortly after.

The commanding victory places Aruba in a strong position to qualify for the U20 World Cup. However, their journey continues on Thursday, where they face a tougher challenge against host nation Guatemala, currently ranked 7th in the CONCACAF region compared to Aruba’s 22nd.
