by | Feb 27, 2024

Aruba Bank and Impact Blue extend their gratitude to the schools across Aruba that welcomed their Circular Economy presentations, marking a significant step in fostering sustainability awareness among the island’s youth.

Throughout January and February, a series of engaging presentations were conducted at 10 primary schools, targeting fifth-grade students. The initiative, aimed at educating and inspiring young minds on the principles of sustainability and responsible resource management, proved to be a resounding success.

Aruba Bank, committed to nurturing a culture of environmental consciousness among the island’s youth, collaborated closely with Impact Blue to deliver these informative sessions. Covering essential aspects of the Circular Economy, the presentations aimed to instill a deeper understanding of practices vital for safeguarding and preserving our environment.

The enthusiasm among participating schools was palpable, with six schools registering to take part in the upcoming “School Challenge” slated for March 22nd at Aruba Bank’s main branch in Camacuri. This challenge provides a platform for students to showcase their innovative ideas on how they can contribute to the Circular Economy.

The anticipation builds as participating schools gear up to present their projects, each vying for the coveted top spot. Aruba Bank has announced exciting prizes for the winners, with the first-place recipient set to receive AWG 10,000, followed by AWG 7,500 for the second place and AWG 5,000 for the third.

Expressing their appreciation, Aruba Bank and Impact Blue recognize the dedication and enthusiasm displayed by schools, students, and educators throughout this educational endeavor. Their commitment to promoting sustainability education underscores the collective effort to create a more conscious and environmentally responsible society on the island.

The “School Challenge” not only promises to be a celebration of innovation and creativity but also signifies a collective commitment towards a sustainable future for Aruba. Through initiatives like these, Aruba Bank and Impact Blue continue to pave the way for a greener and more environmentally conscious tomorrow.
